Privacy notice
Proven Stays Hotel Verification is a service of A Star Supply, which is the controller of the personal information described here. This notice explains what we hold, why, for how long and how to ask for it to be deleted.
What we hold
- Contact details you send us through the form on this site or by email: your name, role, hotel, email address and anything you write in your message.
- Verification records for hotels we work with: our notes, the correction pack, and photographs of the property. We photograph rooms, signage, routes and documents, not people; if a person is caught in a photograph by accident, we blur or delete it.
Why we hold it
To reply to your enquiry, to arrange and carry out a verification you have asked for, and to keep the record of what we verified, which our refund promise depends on. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and on the contract with the hotel for verification work.
We do not sell or share your information, we send no marketing you have not asked for, and we never publish anything about a hotel without its consent.
Who handles it for us
Form submissions are received by our website host, Netlify, and our email is provided by Google Workspace. Both act on our instructions only. Some of their processing may take place outside the UK under the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
- Verification records and the business contacts attached to them: kept for six years after the work ends, then deleted.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
Your rights, and how to request deletion
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email hello@provenstays.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
